A slow start out of the gate on Sunday one as underdogs took care of business in 11 games with 7 of them winning the game outright. Only 5 favorites covered and that was on a slate with many low spreads under 7 pts. 1-2-1 on Sunday, 2-0 on MNF and 0-2 on TNF. 3-4-1 so far so its time to SNAP OUT OF IT!
It's finally here! After a long hiatus the TonyBrunoShow is back with a bang! LIVE from the Passyunk Passeggiata Street Festival Wednesday July 27th at 6pm
I've had a solid 8 days to let this amazing week in the San Francisco bay area SB properly marinate and I'm ready to unsheathe the selections.
Some call it the best Sunday of NFL season. I call it the last chance to get 2 winners in the same day man!
SuperBowl 50 will be all set to go by around 9pm tonight and hard to believe a week from today I'll be in San Francisco starting our 9 days of coverage and fun, so don't forget to check on my site for all of the updates, podcasts and best SB coverage and stuff you won't hear on over the air radio shows.
A stinking split on Saturday thanks to bad clock management which seems to be an epidemic for veteran coaches these days. I knew Andy Reid was horrific at it, so that's why I picked the Pats to cover the 5.
Arizona won the game in OT, should have won in regulation, but Aaron Rodgers is the king of the Hail Mary pass and the OT escape by the Cardinals killed me.
Carolina is at home and a 2 1/2 pt favorite over Seattle. Seahawks lucked out thanks to a missed gimme FG in Minnesota. They botched a 2nd straight SB last year, but won't get that chance again. Takes the Panthers at home to win and cover.
Pittsburgh is a walking mash unit. No Antonio Brown, No DeAngelo Williams. Ben is banged up, so it looks too easy in Denver, right? Line has moved up from 5 1/2 to 7 . Can Peyton Manning rally the troops to an AFC title game matchup with Tom Brady and the Pats again? I hate to lay more than a TD, but I don't have to. Denver wins and covers the number.
For gambling purposes only!
2 games on late Saturday afternoon and into the night
KC has been on a magical ride since starting 1-5. Even Doug Pederson the OC has parlayed this run into a head coaching job with the Phila Eagles. Pats finally get Julian Edelman back and that is huge for Tom Brady and the NE offense. WR Jeremy Maclin might actually play, but I don't see the Chiefs winning this one in Foxboro
Take the Patriots, lay the 5
In Arizona..the line has remained steady at 7 1/2. We know the Cards can score bunches of points. We saw the Pack put it all together last week in Washington, so which Green Bay team shows up tonight. Arizona has been a special team this year and I think they get to the title game.
Take the Cards and lay the 7 1/2.
I'll have the 2 Sunday selection posted on Sunday morning. The only amusement will be 2-and-0!
I went on line to see some NFL tout who charges $34.95 for picks brag about a great 3-1-1 record last weekend. Dude, I went 3-1, 3-1, and 4-0 last 3 weeks and didn't take a dime for anyone except the bookies!
Christmas is coming quickly and I'm looking to keep the Holiday Cash flowing with some solid selections for your NFL Week 15 Sunday.
After a truly fun night at the Podcast with my old pal and partner Harry Mayes making a live appearance at Comedy Sports theatre in Philly, and the lovely and funny Tammy Pescatelli stopping by to make us laugh and discuss which city has more sucky sports right now - Philly or her native Cleveland, I awoke to some news which finally confirmed what I've been saying about the current owners of the Philadelphia 76'ers for the last 2 years.
